For those who don't have a WSJ subscription, apparently Verizon offered all new FiOS subscribers a new Sharp TV. Sharp can't keep up with demand, and customers aren't getting their TVs.
There's also been a problem with the availability of HD set-top boxes from Motorola.
If only other FTTH projects were plagued by such strong consumer demand. I've been eagerly awaiting Verizon to overbuild my apartment building and for me the big news is they're turning Fios into a FTTB product for MDU overbuilds. Max VDSL2 speeds, but still...
